Trump Says Americans Must Learn To Be Happy with Overpriced Happy Meal Without Toy

In a bold move, President Donald Trump addressed the nation from the Oval Office, telling Americans to “embrace the joy of an overpriced Happy Meal with absolutely no toy inside,” as the country faces yet another round of inflation.

Trump pressed on, emphasizing the new reality.  “Look, folks, we have the best Happy Meals.  Tremendous meals.  But you can’t expect a toy anymore,” he declared, pointing at a sad cardboard box with Ronald McDonald’s ghostly smile.  “Maybe you get a soggy nugget, maybe a cold fry.  That’s just what winning looks like in America today.”

Meanwhile, the fast-food giant McDonald’s, once known for putting smiles on children’s faces and giving out cheap plastic trinkets, has responded to rising costs by quietly discontinuing the Happy Meal toy at some locations.  Instead, lucky customers now see a QR code that links to a slideshow showing what toys used to look like before the price of cheese singles surpassed Luxembourg’s GDP.

The shift hasn’t gone unnoticed by the public.  “Back in my day, a Happy Meal came with a toy, a smile, and change for the arcade,” said one customer, staring into a $9.99 burger box abyss.  “Now, the only thing smiling is the McDonald’s quarterly report.”

Experts also weighed in.  Economists warn that the implications go far beyond broken childhood dreams.  “When a society can’t afford to put a tiny plastic Minion in every meal, you know something’s gone terribly wrong,” said a grim-faced analyst, clutching a ketchup packet for comfort.  “This is how civilizations collapse.  First, the “free” toys, then the hope.”

Despite these concerns, Trump remained unwavering.  Undeterred, he intensified his message.  Americans are resilient.  Who needs toys when you’ve got the world’s greatest ketchup packet collection?” he said, tossing empty sauce containers into the crowd.  “Inflation is temporary.  But memories of overpriced, toyless Happy Meals?  Those last forever.”
